Arbind Ray - Writer & Director

Arbind Ray's discipline stems from both creative and commercial perspectives; and is therefore in the fortunate position to maintain a balance between the two. "It's a challenge, and quite honestly a juggling act at times, but if you can't have fun in this industry, then you're in the wrong business" he says with a hint of adventure in his eyes.

Arbind oversees, advises and assists in relation to general strategy, negotiations and commercial viability of projects in development, having spent the past decade as a senior consultant in the corporate sector specialising in Explosives Ordinance Devices & Electronic Surveillance and Countersurveillance Measures equipment. In addition to dignitaries and show-business personalities, Arbind has advised Governments and Law Enforcement Agencies world-wide. Quite naturally projects in development benefit greatly from Arbind Ray's wide and varied contacts and substantial experience in inter-national trade.

Having served on the Executive committee of The London Chamber of Commerce & Industry as well as The Bank of England, Arbind Ray is finally able to concentrate on his lifelong passion of being creative on a professional level.

Having successfully completed screenwriting at Oxford University Arbind continued studying for a full time three year film degree at London South Bank University, achieving an impressive 2:1 grade whilst overseeing multiple businesses at the time. Now that's dedication but Arbind says "If a job's worth doing, it's worth doing well."Even his Digital Art Gallery (above & below) with Sonic Counter-points were approached with such detail that Arbind's work was prominently displayed at the Keyworth Centre receiving high praise from visiting academics as well as members of the public. One of the portraits entitled 'Done Deal' depicted London's victory of being awarded as the host for Britain's 2012 Olympics, before the results were announced to the rest of the world! Perhaps that's why the theme was aptly labelled "Arbind Ray's Master Narrative".

Arbind is also M.D. of Glenhart Productions Ltd, a Production company comprising directors from film & television backgrounds with a shareholding of over 200 members.

M.D. - Bollywood Blockbusters Limited. A natural progression from the sale and rental of DVDs from their High Street retail stores between 2001 to 2007, Bollywood Blockbusters have licensed their first Authorised Agency engaged in Delivering Entertainment To Your Door.

Even before delving into the business of setting up multiple retail outlets, Arbind has always been involved in showbusiness. Take for example Honey's Boogie Woogie Nights. Special Guests below were invited as Judges for Honey's Dance Academy's Award Ceremony

Prior to the above Arbind had organised several Fashion Shows and Concerts, both for the private sector as well as for Luton Borough Council promoting designer clothes for six leading UK fashion houses specialising in Asian ready made garments. Some of the Models who performed for Arbind's shows went on to appear on television.

Concerts include a star studded line-up of Bollywood artistes on stage in Spain and at the Wembley Arena in the UK. Details can be found in the Events section.

Performed as 2nd Juror in "Twelve Angry People" an adaptation from Reginald Rose' "Twelve Angry Men".

Also involved in "N.Q.B.B." a contemporary production; co-scripted and performed to packed audiences.

Oscar Wilde's "The Importance of Being Ernest" - co-starred as Algernon in this popular 2 hour 45 mins play.

Ex-Founder Member > London Youth Arts Performance Society.

Ex-Liaison Officer > The Movement And Dramatic Arts Centre (MADAC), a charity based organisation supported by the Redbridge Council and The Prince's Trust. Provided motivational training based on Personal Development. Imparted training exercises to students based on Konstantin Stanislavski's Method School of Acting.

There's so much more to say about Arbind, like the press publicity attached to his firewalk, or the time when he performed original tracks he had penned, produced and sung to audiences in their thousands at Valentines Park which also made the news, that you begin to wonder what drives someone like him? Just for good measure, Arbind left his high flying job in Mayfair, sold his brand new jaguar to fund his business. And in case you're wondering what really got him started in the entertainment industry, leaving the 9-5 employment routine, he responds; "well it's like this, in a rat race, even if you win...you're still a rat!"
